Three judges; identified as Munther Dergham Hassan, Mohammad Suleiman Hammoud, and Yousef Ghannoum who worked at the Property Court in Hama city; were shot dead on December 24, 2024, by unidentified gunmen who opened fire at their car on Hama-Misyaf Road near the al-Rabe’a village crossroads in western rural Hama governorate. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
We call on the controlling forces to uphold their responsibilities in protecting civilians in their areas, investigate this incident, and make the findings available to the public.
