A man, identified as Fidaa Sayyaf from Douma village in eastern rural Suwayda governorate, was killed on December 10, 2024, by unidentified gunmen, while another man, identified as Fahd Jammoul from the same village, was injured in the same shooting. The gunmen shot the car transporting the two men in an attempt to loot them in al-Msamyya district in northern Suwayda governorate. The area is under the control of the forces currently in power in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
