Three siblings, identified as Abdul Mu’ti, Mahmoud, and Samer al-Safar from Khan Sheikhoun city in southern rural Idlib governorate, were shot dead on December 9, 2024, by unidentified gunmen in Adra al-Balad town in Rural Damascus governorate. The area is under the control of the forces in power in Syria.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
We call on the controlling forces to uphold their responsibilities in protecting civilians in their areas, investigate this incident, and make their findings available to the Syrian public.
