A boy, identified as 16-year-old Fadi Hussein Salim from al-Muruj village to the south of Manbij city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate, was killed on December 8, 2024, by a shell of unidentified source that landed in front of his family’s house in al-Muruj village amid clashes between the Syrian National Army (SNA) and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The area is under the control of the SDF.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify the party responsible for Fadi’s death as of this writing. The warring parties must uphold their responsibilities in identifying his killers.
