A man, identified as Hamad al-Hmeidan from al-Shyuykh subdistrict in eastern Manbij city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate, was killed on December 8, 2024, by a gunfire of unidentified source in front of the Central Prison in Manbij city amid clashes between the Syrian National Army (SNA) and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The area is under the control of SDF.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify which party is responsible for Hamad’s death as of this writing. The controlling forces bear must uphold their responsibilities in identifying his killers.
