A man, identified as Ali Ahmad al-Hmoud from Majra Saghir (al-Tukhar) village in northern Manbij city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate, was shot and killed on October 3, 2024, by a Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) sniper while driving his car on a road adjacent to his home village. The area is under the control of the Syrian National Army (SNA).
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that the SDF has, through this act of killing, again violated international human rights law. The perpetrators must be held accountable.
