A boy, identified as two-and-a-half-year-old Shehab Saed al-Wakka from Darnaj village in eastern rural Deir Ez-Zour governorate was killed on September 4, 2024, by a gunshot of unidentified source in the village. The area is under the control of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify the party responsible for Shehab’s death as of this writing. The controlling forces must uphold responsibility for identifying his killers.
