On August 23, 2024, the body of a man, identified as Majed Sami al-Fayhan from Manbij city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate was found bearing knife wounds inside his house in al-Nufus neighborhood in Manbij city. The area is under the control of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
