The Syrian Network for Human Rights documented the killing...

A boy born in 2011, identified as Mohammad Mohannad Mohammad originally from Tadmur city in eastern rural Homs governorate who lives in Manbij city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate, was abducted for military conscription on August 7, 2024, by the Syrian Democratic Forces’ (SDF) al-Shabiba al-Thawriya, (Revolutionary Youth) faction, also known as the ‘Joanne Schurchkar’, in Manbij city. He was then taken to an SDF recruitment camp.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that Mohammad’s family has not been notified of what has happened to her, and he is forbidden to contact them or receive any visits from them. We are concerned that he will be forced to participate in direct and indirect military action.
It should be noted that approximately 364 children are currently conscripted in SDF military training camps.
