A 14-year-old girl, identified as Nour Mazin al-Alloush from M’aizela village in northern rural Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was recruited on May 15, 2024, by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). She was then sent to an SDF recruitment camps in al-Shaddadi city in rural Hasaka governorate.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that Nour’s family has not been notified of what has happened to her, and she is forbidden to contact them or receive any visits from them. We are concerned that she will be forced to participate in direct and indirect military action.
It should be noted that approximately 341 children are currently conscripted in SDF military training camps.
