A man, identified as 27-year-old Hassan Mohammad al-Hussein, from Um al-Baramil village in the rural areas of Ein Eisa city in northern rural Raqqa governorate, was shot dead on April 20, 2024, by a Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) sniper while he was watering his agricultural land near Sakirou bridge in eastern Ein Eisa city. The area is under the control of the SDF.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that, through this killing, the SDF has again violated international human rights law. The perpetrators must be held accountable.
