A man, identified as 24-year-old Saleh al-Haj Eissa was killed on April 16, 2024, by a gunfire of as yet unidentified source when he was on his agricultural land in his home village of al-Jat, which is located on the dividing lines between the areas of control of the Syrian National Army (SNA) and those controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), in eastern rural Aleppo governorate. The area is under the control of the SDF.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not been able to identify Saleh’s killers as of this writing. The controlling forces bear responsibility for identifying his killers.
