A man, identified as 37-year-old Abdul Karim Bkari from Aleppo city who was working at a scrap metal workshop was killed on March 23, 2024, by the explosion of a war remnant of as yet unidentified source, while at work in the workshop between the two cities of al-Bab and Qbasin in eastern rural Aleppo governorate. The area is under the control of the Syrian National Army (SNA).

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that war remnants continue to pose a serious threat to civilians’ lives. We have released numerous reports on cluster munitions and other war remnants, calling for securing equipment to help local residents to safely dispose of the various explosive remnants.
