Two civilian men, identified as Mustafa Ahmad al-Rajab and Mahmoud Fayez al-Rez, were shot dead on February 17, 2024, being killed in crossfire amid a shootout between two regime-affiliated groups in their home city of al-Rastan in northern rural Homs governorate. The area is under the control of Syrian regime forces.
