A man, identified as Mohammad al-Nabhan, died on February 1, 2024, of injuries sustained almost seven years ago on March 24, 2017, when a Syrian regime warplane dropped a bomb containing a poisonous gas on his hometown of al-Latamena in northwestern Hama governorate. Mohammad, who was a civilian like the other victims affected, was completely paralyzed in the bombing, which also led to him losing both his hearing and sight, remaining in this condition until his death. Another 16 people were also injured in the attack. The area was under the control of armed opposition factions at the time of the incident.
