On December 23, 2023, the body of 30-year-old Yasser Hamdi al-Harouni, from Jillen town in western Daraa governorate, was found by local residents in al-Mzayreeb town, also in western Daraa governorate, bearing multiple gunshot wounds. The area is under the control of Syrian regime forces.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights has not been able to identify Yasser’s killers as of this writing. The controlling forces bear responsibility for identifying his killers.
