On December 6, 2023, the body of a man, identified as Khaled Ghazi al-Zu’bi, a 37-year-old agricultural worker, was found by local residents near al-Yadoda town in western Daraa governorate bearing gunshot wounds. Khaled’s family, from Tafas city in western Daraa governorate, had lost contact with him six days before his body was found.

The area is under the control of Syrian regime forces. The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not been able to identify Khaled’s killers as of this writing. The controlling forces bear responsibility for identifying his killers.
