A 31-year-old man, identified as Mohammad Adnan al-Shar’ al-Zu’bi, was shot dead on November 23, 2023, by personnel from the Syrian regime’s Air Force Intelligence Directorate who raided a house in his hometown of al-Msaifra town in eastern rural Daraa governorate. The regime personnel opened fire indiscriminately to intimidate residents during the raid, killing Mohammad in the process.

The area is under the control of Syrina regime forces. The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that through this act of killing, regime forces have once again violated international human rights law. The perpetrators must be held accountable.
