A 32-year-old man, identified as Ahmad Hussein al-Daoudi from Maqbla village in eastern rural Aleppo governorate, was shot dead on November 17, 2023, by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) personnel while trying to smuggle diesel from the SDF-controlled Abu Kahf village in eastern rural Aleppo governorate to the regime-controlled al-Tayha village in eastern rural Aleppo governorate.
The area is under the control of the SDF. The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that through this killing, the SDF has again violated international human rights law. The perpetrators must be held accountable.
