A 25-year-old man, identified as Allawi Faisal al-Abdin, from al-Jat village in the northern rural areas of Manbij in eastern Aleppo governorate, was shot dead on October 14, 2023, by a Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) sniper in Mazra’et al-Qdour village in the northern rural areas of Manbij city in eastern Aleppo governorate. The village is located on the dividing lines between the areas controlled by the SDF and those controlled by the Syrian National Army (SNA).
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that, through this and other acts of killing, the SDF has again violated international human rights law, and calls for the perpetrators to be held accountable.
