On July 9, 2023, the disfigured and unrecognizable body of an unidentified man, who seems to have been in his thirties was found at the side of the Euphrates River in the eastern suburbs of Minbij in northeastern Aleppo governorate.
The area is under the control of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify the killers as of this writing. The controlling forces bear responsibility for identifying his killers.
