A man, identified as 56-year-old Zakariya Hussein Hamdoun from Bosra al-Sham city in eastern Daraa governorate, who now lives in Suwayada city, was abducted in Suwayda city on July 4, 2023, by gunmen who we have not yet been able to identify, and taken to an undisclosed location.
The area is under the control of Syrian regime forces. The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not been able to identify Zakariya’s abductors as of this writing. We condemn all abductions and arbitrary arrests.
