A man, identified as 25-year-old Mohammad Hani Sultana from al-Qerdaha city in the suburbs of Latakia governorate, was killed on June 23, 2023, by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), commonly known as a drone, of unidentified source, whicht targeted a house in the city.
The area is under the control of Syrian regime forces. The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) condemns all killings of civilians. We call on the controlling forces to uphold their responsibilities for protecting civilians in their areas, to investigate this incident, and to make the findings of the investigation known to the public. Syria will never have true stability without a genuine political transition process towards democracy within a fixed timetable.
