On May 26, 2023, the body of a man, identified as 24-year-old Jasser Mohammad al-Fahd from Abdin town in the western suburbs of Daraa, was found by local residents on the road connecting the towns of Naf’a and Ein Theker in western Daraa. Jasser’s body was found the day after his family lost contact with him.

The area is under the control of Syrian regime forces. The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not been able to identify his killers as of this writing. The controlling forces bear responsibility for identifying Jasser’s killers.
