On March 7, 2023, Dr. Abdul Hafiz Zini, an internist born in 1941 who works at al-Razi Hospital in his home city of Homs, was abducted by gunmen who we have not yet been able to identify in front of the hospital. He was taken to an undisclosed location.
The area is under the control of Syrian regime forces. We at the Syrian Network for Human Rights has not identified Dr. Abdul Hafiz’s abductors as of this writing. We condemn all acts of abduction and arbitrary arrest.
