The attack killed 10 of the civilian workersemployees at the fieldfacility, which is located in the badiya (desert area) aroundof Mouhasan city, in eastern Deir Ez-Zour governorate. The oilfield is under the control of Syrian regime forces.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses and survivors to obtain more information about the incident.
SNHR condemns all bombingsattacks targeting civilians. We call on the controlling party to uphold their responsibilities for protecting civilians in areas under their control, to investigate the incident, and to make the investigation’s findings known to the public. Syria will never have true stability without a genuine true political transition process to implement democracy implemented under a concrete timetable.
