Abdullah and Salam Ibrahim al-Adama, two children siblings from Deir Ez-Zour governorate, died on December 26, 2022, in a fire caused by the explosion of a gas-powered space heater in their tent, in al-Areisha IDP Camp, al-Areisha town, southern suburbs of Hasaka governorate.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights urges international relief groups to act urgently to meet the basic needs of IDPs in camps, and calls on the camps’ administrations to secure additional tents for emergencies.
