Murad al-Matni, aged 26, from al-Kasib village in eastern Suwayda governorate, was killed and 18 other civilians were wounded on December 4, when Syrian regime forces opened fire at protesters in the middle of Suwayda city.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights notes that, through this act of killing, Syrian regime forces have once again violated international human rights law, and that the perpetrators must be held accountable.
