Ahmad Mustafa al-Mhamid, a 45-year-old car dealer from Daraa al-Balad in Daraa city, was shot dead on October 22, 2022 by unidentified gunmen in the city’s Al-Abbasiya neighborhood, which is controlled by the Syrian regime.
SNHR is still trying to find eyewitnesses to obtain information about the incident.
SNHR condemns all acts of killing targeting civilians. We call on the controlling parties to uphold their responsibilities for protecting civilians living in areas under their control, and to launch an investigation into this incident and make its details known to the public. Syria will never have true stability without a true political transition process to implement democracy under a concrete timetable.
