The body of 37-year-old Youssef Issam Alloh, from Daraa al-Balad in Daraa city, was found on October 12, 2022, on farmland near Daraa city two days after he was abducted by so-far unidentified individuals. Youssef, who had settled his security status with the Syrian regime, was seized by the unidentified kidnappers whilst visiting a family member’s farm in the area, located near Daraa al-Balad.
The crime took place in an area controlled by Syrian regime forces, with SNHR so far unable to identify the party responsible for Youssef’s death. SNHR insists that the controlling forces must investigate such crimes and hold the perpetrators to account, with the failure of the controlling regime forces, who bear responsibility for investigating this abduction and killing, to launch any such investigation raising suspicion of their involvement in the crime.
