Jassim Muhammad Khattab Al-Badawi, aged 48, from Abu Hamam in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was arrested by members of the Syrian Democratic Forces on October 8, 2022, while raiding his house in Raqqa city, where he resides, and was taken to one of its detention centers in Raqqa city.
On October 11, 2022, the Syrian Democratic Forces informed his family of his death and handed them over his body.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights has information that Jassem was in good health at the time of his arrest; It is highly likely that he died of torture and health neglect inside one of the detention centers of the Syrian Democratic Forces in Raqqa city.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights confirms that approximately 4,224 Syrian citizens are still under arrest or enforced disappearance in the detention centers of the Syrian Democratic Forces, and we have real concerns about their fate.

We note that approximately 83 Syrian citizens died of torture in the detention centers of the Syrian Democratic Forces.
