A girl born in 2008, Shirin Najm al Din Muhammad, was abducted by personnel from the Syrian Democratic Forces-affiliated Revolutionary Youth (Joanne Schurchkar) group for military conscription she was abducted from Halnaj village of Ein al Arab city in the eastern suburbs of Aleppo governorate on October 8, 2022. She was taken to a recruitment center.

SNHR notes that the girl’s parents have not been informed of her whereabouts, and she hasn’t been allowed to contact her family, who are also forbidden from visiting her. We fear she may be forced to participate directly or indirectly in military operations, and confirm that around 213 children are still conscripted in Syrian Democratic Forces camps.
