The body of Radi Abdul Rahman al Najjar from Marea city in eastern Aleppo governorate, a former member of the Syrian National Army’s Third Corps, who had been working as a blacksmith, was found in his home in Marea city on October 9, 2022, bearing gunshot wounds. The area is under the Syrian National Army’s control.
SNHR has so far been unable to identify the party responsible for his death. Although the controlling forces are responsible for finding and punishing the perpetrators of such crimes, they haven’t launched any investigation into this case, which raises suspicions of their involvement in this killing.
