Loay Abdul Razzaq al Sabti, from al Zar village in eastern Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was shot dead on September 29, 2022, by Syrian Democratic Forces personnel near Ras al Ein city in northwestern Hasaka governorate.

SNHR notes that the victim was crossing from an area controlled by Syrian Democratic Forces to an area controlled by National Syrian Army forces at the time of the fatal shooting, with the location where it took place being considered a line of separation between the two forces.

SNHR notes that through this killing, the Syrian Democratic Forces have again violated International Human Rights Law, and the perpetrators must be held accountable.
