Forty-three-year-old Abdul Rahman Abdullah Hamed al Hariri from Busr al Harir town in eastern Daraa governorate, who worked in trading and agriculture, went missing 20 days ago in Damascus city. On September 29, 2022, his body was found by local residents in an area near Izra city in northern Daraa governorate, bearing torture marks and gunshot wounds. The areas where he went missing and where his body was found are both controlled by Syrian regime forces.

SNHR has so far been unable to identify the party responsible for his death. Although the controlling forces are responsible for finding and punishing the perpetrators of such crimes, they haven’t launched any investigation into this case, which raises suspicions of their involvement in this killing.
