Twenty-six-year-old Muhammad Ali Nimr al Hariri from al Soura town in eastern Daraa governorate was shot and killed by Syrian regime forces while he was working, gathering scrap metal to sell, along with several other civilians, near a Syrian regime military point in Alama town in eastern Daraa governorate.

On September 15, 2022, Muhammad Ali’s body was released to his family after it was removed from the site of the incident and taken to the Izra National Hospital in Izra city in Daraa governorate.

SNHR notes that Syrian regime forces have again violated the international human rights law through this killing, for which the perpetrators must be held accountable.
