The body of 42-year-old 5hammad Ahmad Fares al Etma from al Sanamayn city in northern Daraa governorate, where he taught philosophy at a local school, was found on September 14, 2022, bearing gunshot wounds. The area is controlled by Syrian regime forces.
SNHR has so far been unable to identify the party responsible for his death. Although the controlling forces are responsible for finding and punishing the perpetrators of such crimes, they haven’t launched any investigation into this case, which raises suspicions of their involvement in this killing.
