A 12-year-old child, Haitham Khaled al Omar, from Inkhel city in northern Daraa governorate, was killed and his brother was wounded on September 2, 2022 from the explosion of unidentified ammunition of an unknown source, while they were in a farm near Syrian regime forces’ Brigade 15 Base in Inkhel city. The region is under the control of Syrian regime forces.

SNHR is still trying to gather more details on the incident.

SNHR notes that weapons remnants continue to pose a serious threat to civilians, and we have issued a large number of reports on cluster munitions and other weapons remnants, calling for special equipment to help the local residents remove all kinds of explosive devices.
