An eight-year-old Iraqi refugee girl, Zainab Khalouf, died on August 28, 2022 due to burns she sustained on August 27, 2022, in a fire that broke out in Sector One of al Hawl Camp for IDPs near al Hawl town in Hasaka governorate eastern suburbs.
The fire completely destroyed four IDPs tents.
SNHR calls on international relief organizations to urgently supply the main needs of the IDP camp’s residents, as well as supplying the camp administration with emergency tents.
