A landmine planted by unknown parties in farmlands between Kherbet al Zawari village and Kherbet al Manaseer village in the southern suburbs of Aleppo governorate exploded on July 15, 2022, as several civilians working as guards of the farmlands were passing by, two of them were killed, Muhammad Satouf al Hussein and Muhammad al Faisal.
The regime is under the control of the Syrian regime forces. SNHR is still trying to reach witnesses of that incident to get more details.

We demand that the controlling regime forces bear responsibility for protecting civilians in the areas under their control, and that they determine the locations of mines planted there and remove them.

We have documented hundreds of deaths and injuries as a result of mine explosions; these munitions will continue to constitute a severe threat to the population of these areas in years to come, especially to children.
