A civilian, Anwar Saad al Khleif, from al Hari village of al Boukamal city east of Deir Ez-Zour governorate was shot and killed on June 2, 2022 by Syrian regime forces personnel as they intervened to end a conflict between two tribes in the village. 

SNHR notes that the Syrian regime forces have violated the international human rights law through this killing, and the perpetrators must be held accountable.
