A motorbike-bomb from an unknown source exploded in Villat Street in Afrin city in the northern suburbs of Aleppo governorate on May 28, 2022. Three civilians were wounded in the explosion one of them a traffic policeman. There were also damages at the site of the explosion.

SNHR is still trying to reach eyewitnesses and survivors for more details of the incident.

SNHR condemns the attacks on civilians, and calls on the controlling forces to shoulder its responsibility in protecting the civilians in its territories. SNHR also calls on the controlling forces to launch an investigation and reveal its results to the public. 

There will be no stability in Syria without a genuine political process moving towards democracy, implemented according to a set timetable.
