Syrian regime forces used heavy machine guns to fire on farmlands near al Sermaniya village in Sahl al Ghab in Hama governorate western suburbs on May 21, 2022, causing fires to break out in the wheat and barley crops, and inflicting material damages which cause further suffering for the owners of the lands and properties.

SNHR condemns the attacks on vital facilities and civilian properties by the Syrian regime’s forces and allies, as well as their failure to discriminate between civilian areas and military targets, which causes severe material losses for civilians and their properties,  threatening residents and pushing them towards forced displacement.
