Two children were killed by the explosion of a mine left by an unknown party in northern Daraa on May 7

Two children from al Faqea village north of Daraa governorate, Abdul Rahman Zaki al Masri and Muhammad Naser Fuad al Masri, were killed on May 7, 2022, by the explosion of a landmine left by an unknown party in farmlands near the village which is under the control of the Syrian regime forces.

SNHR is still trying to reach witnesses from that incident to get more details.

We demand the controlling force to bear the responsibility of protecting civilians in its areas, and to discover and remove the locations of mines planted there.

We have recorded hundreds of deaths and injuries as a result of mine explosions; What constitutes a major threat to the population over subsequent years in those areas, especially to children.
