A car bomb of unknown origin exploded in front of a Syrian National Army checkpoint at the entrance to Al Bab city in Aleppo governorate’s eastern suburbs on April 10, 2022, killing one man, named as Adnan Bakri Haddad, and injuring several other civilians.

Al Bab city is under the control of the Syrian National Army, SNHR is still trying to reach eyewitnesses for more details on the incident.

SNHR condemns all explosions that target civilians, and calls on the Syrian National Army, as the controlling force in the city, to shoulder its responsibility for protecting civilians in its territory by investigating the incident and revealing the conclusions of this investigation to the public.

There will be no stability in Syria without a genuine political process moving towards democracy, implemented according to a set timetable.
