Hussein Yousef al Khalil, age 27, a day worker from Arab Hasan village northwest of Manbej city in the eastern suburbs of Aleppo governorate, was arrested in Manbej city by the Syrian Democratic Forces Interior Security Forces’ personnel on March 15, 2022, after he was accused of working as a smuggler, he was taken to a detention center in the city.
On March 27, 2022, the Syrian Democratic Forces informed his family of his death and released his body to them. SNHR has information confirming that Hasan was in good health when arrested, which indicated that he passed due to torture and lack of medical care at the detention center in Manbej city.
