A fire of an unidentified cause broke out in a displaced family’s tent in the fourth section of al Hol Camp for IDPs near al Hol town in the eastern suburbs of Hasaka governorate, on March 18, 2022.

One child, 13-year-old girl, Haya Thabet al Muhammad, died immediately in the blaze, which also left her eight-year-old sister, Rasha, with severe burns. On March 25, 2022, Rasha died of her wounds.

SNHR calls on international relief organizations to urgently satisfy the IDP camps’ main needs and supply the administrations with extra tents for emergencies.
