Syrian Democratic Forces’ missile launcher fired about 15 missiles on Izaz city in Aleppo governorate northern suburbs on March 23, 2022.
The missiles hit several residential buildings in the city and killed Ahmad Nawaf al Khalaf, while five others were injured. The bombing caused severe damage in the areas that were hit.
SNHR notes that through this attack, Syrian Democratic Forces have unquestionably again violated UN Security Council Resolutions 2139 and 2254, which prohibit arbitrary attacks, as well as willfully disregarding international humanitarian law concerning the distinction between civilians and combatants. Such actions also contribute to spreading further fear amongst civilians.
