Anwar al Shukri was shot dead on February 12, 2022 by Syrian Democratic Forces personnel while attempting to escape during an SDF raid on his home in al Tabaqa city in Raqqa governorate’s western suburbs.
SNHR notes that the Syrian Democratic Forces have violated the International Human Rights Law through this killing, and the perpetrators must be held accountable.
