On February 3, 2022, a number of local and foreign medical workers and refugees at the Kyangwali Refugee Settlement in Uganda held a rally in solidarity with the forcibly disappeared in Syria, especially its medical workers, expressing hope that their fate would be revealed, and they would return to their families. During the rally, the participants held paintings of doctors forcibly disappeared by the Syrian regime, drawn by the Syrian Network for Human Rights, with some of the subjects having been disappeared for almost ten years, with their fate unknown ever since. All attempts to pressure the Syrian regime even to reveal whether they are living or dead or have died due to torture inside its detention centers have failed.
